This paper proposes an active reactance control technique which enables secondary-side output voltage regulation in wireless power transfer system. The proposed system does not require an additional DC-DC regulator and can achieve zero phase angle of secondary-side full bridge rectifier resulting in higher power density and system efficiency. The operating principles and control scheme of the proposed system are explained. Experimental results from a GaN-based prototype board with 200 kHz, max 15 W, 3.5 - 7 V output verify the feasibility and the effectiveness of the proposed system. |
